Side Cutter Snips
Blue Loctite

 

1 \ REMOVE YOUR SHIFT KNOB

Remove your shift knob. Refer to google to find vehicle specific removal instructions.

 

2 \ REMOVE YOUR SHIFT BOOT

Remove the shift boot from the center console. Refer to google to find vehicle specific removal instructions.

 

3 \ REMOVE SET SCREWS

Remove the small set screws from the adapter and set them aside we will need them later.

 

4 \ INSTALL THE ADAPTER

Slide the adapter onto the shifter arm with the threaded portion of the adapter facing up.

 

5 \ APPLY BLUE LOCTITE

Place a small dab of blue Loctite on the set screws you removed previously. Lightly tighten the set screws so the adapter

does not spin.

 

6 \ INSTALL THE KNOB

Install the shift knob by screwing it onto the adapter until it bottoms out. If you have an engraved shift knob follow the steps

below to align the engraving, if unengraved skip the next step.

 

7 \ ALIGN THE ENGRAVING

If you have a shift knob with engraving, loosen the set screws and rotate the adapter till the engraving pattern is lined up correctly.

Tighten the set screws when you are satisfied with the engraving position.

 

8 \ BOOT CRACK ELIMINATION

Remove the shift knob. Fold your shift boot inside out and place the top of it over the adapter. Zip-tie the shift boot to the shoulder

located below the adapter threads. Trim the zip-tie with a side cutter.

 

9 \ SHIFT KNOB FINAL INSTALL

Reinstall the shift boot and the shift knob.

 

10 \ ENJOY THE DRIVE
